The museum art “class” has been an awesome addition to our “curriculum!” The kids are learning proper respect for a museum & a few art techniques as well! This past week we did the window frame project after looking at a picture of a train traveling through a snowy mountain pass after coming out of a tunnel. It was lovely, but the teacher asked the kids what it would look like from inside the train and what they would take on their pretend train trip. It was fun! Then we went to the art room, painted a clear page with white at the bottom and flicked snow flakes all over. While that dried, the teacher passed out chalk pastels {which I love working with!} and different colored cardstock. The kiddos drew what they thought that mountain pass would’ve look like.
I have them taped up in a gallery in the back room. The aspen tree project from last week & window frame one from this Thursday below.
